Thanks for your encouragement. I’ve been very lucky to have a well-paid job sending me all over Eastern Europe and the Balkans, where I needed to become less ignorant of that part of the world. But I would have to look at a map to see where West Prussia was (apart from what I read in The Tin Drum).
